The biggest mistake we commonly see in surveillance system
design is that installers don't do what is necessary to
“Secure” the security system. Expensive equipment is brought
in and setup by “experts” only to be installed on a shelf
in a back room. Criminals and vandals, employees or
children will find their way into the equipment and cause
damage.
We have even encountered crime scenes where the criminals
simply take the DVR and the video evidence along with
them.
Wherever possible our systems are installed inside 18ga
locking steel cases normally used for computer servers
and expensive network equipment. These cases are then
bolted to the flooring or building structure.
These CUBES contain and protect all mission critical
hardware including the DVR, the camera power supply,
and the uninterruptible power supply that feeds them.
Additionally the unit can supply blown temperature
controlled filtered air to cool hot equipment
(essential to maximizing service life) and filter out
damaging dust.
Your WESCO DVR can still be operated through the
shatterproof glass front door of the CUBE using the
handheld remote control . Or via any internet accessible
PC.
